Tasting Notes: 2018 Aviatrix Primitivo (tasted 5/17/21 by Heidi)

The 2018 Primitivo is ruby red in color with vibrant aromas of red fruits – plums, cherries, red raspberries, and a touch of five-spice. Positively luxurious and lively across the palate with bright jammy fruit character and lovely acid balance. The finish goes on with ripe fruit flavors and a nice mouthcoating texture. Enticingly plush and fruit-forward, it almost gives the impression of sweetness, but is totally dry and has a wonderful clean purity of flavor. Try it with Korean short ribs – absolutely delicious!
